Instructions for First DUI Offenders
The Georgia Department of Human Resources, along with the Georgia Department of Driver Services, requires anyone who is convicted of one DUI to go through certain steps. Please click the link below to download the rules for first offenders.
First, the offender must attend a Risk Reduction Program, commonly known as “DUI School.” Once completing DUI School, the offender must request that the DUI School send a copy of the “NEEDS” assessment to the clinical evaluator. This can be faxed to us at 770/898-8335.
Second, the offender must obtain a “Clinical Evaluation” from an evaluator trained and certified by Georgia DHR.
Third, the offender must complete any treatment recommended by the Clinical Evaluator

Fourth, the offender must have an “interlock” device installed in any vehicle driven by the offender. (We recommend Guardian Interlock in Riverdale, phone 770/478-8373. We have found them to be honest and competent.)
