This treatment program offers specialized services on a scheduled basis for individuals with alcohol and other drug abuse problems. The treatment program emphasizes socially acceptable values such as self-reliance, responsibility, competency, individual achievement, individual/community protection, and the importance of the family. Topics addressed include post-acute withdrawal syndrome, relapse prevention, breaking through denial, medical aspects of addiction, letting go of high-risk behavior, family function and dysfunction, cognitive restructuring, parenting, and codependency. The program includes life-skills training, experiential learning, goal setting, personal empowerment, respect for self and others, and positive self-concept and self-talk. These services are offered both individually and in a group setting.
